Why this is safe. Use a read-only R2 token scoped to this one bucket — it can't change or delete anything. Your credentials stay in your browser and are sent directly to your R2 bucket, never to any server of ours. With "remember on this device" ticked they're kept in this browser's local storage so you don't re-enter them; untick to keep them only until you leave. It's your data in your bucket; we never see it. The page is static and open source — you can read exactly what it does. (A key stored in a browser is still a key, so keep it read-only and bucket-scoped.)
